Here’s How The Song Came To Life:
The Straymen are a local Harrogate band formed by two HRH Group colleagues – Managing Director Simon Cotton & Marketing Exec Joseph Pearce aka Jay Seph. The Straymen believe that their town is truly the most Christmassy in the country, and thanks to them, Harrogate now has its very own Christmas song – “Merry Christmas Harrogate” – a heartwarming anthem that celebrates everything they love about their magical town during the holidays. Simon wrote the lyrics, and Joseph composed, arranged and co-produced the music – providing a demo for other local musicians Harry Arnison & Father-Daughter duo Harvey & Isabella Burns. Together in the studio, joined by John Shepherd as the Executive Producer, they recorded their harmonious vocals and put their own twist on the song, resulting in a super catchy tune worthy of Christmas Number 1! |
A special thank you to Harrogate BID, Reel Film & Your Harrogate Radio, and everyone else who helped us create the video and create anticipation in the town. Another big Thank You to you for being part of what makes Harrogate so special. Let’s spread the Christmas cheer—together, we can make Merry Christmas Harrogate the soundtrack of the season!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas,
The Straymen 🎄
PS: Don’t forget to share the song with all your friends and family—see you in Harrogate soon!
